I have been reading a book titled, "Desire to Inspire" by Christine Mason Miller and at the end she has a list of questions that have inspired me to think about my desire to inspire not only myself but others. First, I want to share my inspiration for this scrapbook page...circles! I used circle punches but also Creative Memories cutting system to make the larger circles to show off Jerry's class time making his cigar bass guitar. I loved the impact the circles made for the page.
As for my non-negotiables, faith, love, creativity, laughter, happiness and positive environment are the main things that make up my core beliefs and that I consider non-negotiable within my life. I am a deep spiritual and faith based person feeling complete knowing that there is a God bigger than me or my life. Love is a complete circle that includes my husband, who is also my best-friend and lover, and my sons and now my mother who also lives with us. Someday my sons may have someone in their life that will be included in that circle and love will flow evenly and beautifully. Creativity comes naturally, waking me up often at night with more ideas than I can possibly ever use, =) but it is fun to dream of what I love to do. Most of all I love love love making something out of nothing! It is such a high in spirit and heart to see that happen. Laughter creates a happy home and a happy life, pure and simple. All of this brings happiness throughout my being and creates a positive environment. It also helps when you don't watch a lot of television lol.
I am so thankful I can be home at this point in my life even when caregiving for Garrett and my mother may not always be easy, it is wonderful to have respite in my art and creativity...trips to Starbucks helps on occasion too. What is non-negotiable in your life?
